Welcome to my recording debut, friend! These first tracks are sung in the voice of the system โ that's the joke. They're catchy because the burden feels noble at first. But don't leave before the encore: it's the one song on this record where you finally get to set the weight down. ๐ถ
Side A โ The Performance Sessions
1
Burdened By Pride
The anthem of a heart that must stay flawless โ and the weight nobody admits they're carrying. 4:51

Liner note
The cruel irony in the title says it all: a theology built to conquer pride breeds a subtler pride โ the pride of a spotless record. "Burdened by pride" is the testimony the system can't sing about itself.
2
Shadow of the Storm
Life under the time-of-trouble clock โ standing without a Mediator, watching the sky. 2:53

Liner note
A storm song for a gospel that never feels safe. The shadow is real โ but the One who calmed the sea (Mark 4:39) isn't in this verse yet. Keep listening.

Side B โ The Encore
Every "greatest hits" needs one track that breaks the pattern. This is it โ the one song the performance gospel can never write, because it requires admitting the work is already done.
โ
It Is Finished (Tetelestai)
The hidden track. No player needed โ just read it slowly.
The hidden track. No player needed โ just read it slowly.
The only lyrics that matter
When Jesus had received the vinegar, He said, "It is finished:" and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. (John 19:30)
There's no second verse. No bridge where you earn it. No final chorus the last generation has to nail. The song was finished at the cross โ and the invitation is simply to stop performing and rest in it. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).

That's the whole album, friend. Tracks 1โ4 are how the burden sounds from the inside โ and they're real, written from a real place. But the encore is the truth the others are missing. You were never meant to be the closing song. He already sang it. ๐คโค๏ธ
